POUGHKEEPSIE – Favorable market conditions in a changing economy is good reason for Poughkeepsie to refinance a portion of its bond debt.
City Administrator Milo Bunyi said that if they take advantage of current conditions, it is money that stays in city pockets.
“The city will realize about a $400,000 savings in interest over the next ten years, of which $59,000 will be realized this year.”
Bunyi said that $59,000 will be back in the city coffers by the end of the year.
