Sullivan burglar sentenced to prison

MONTICELLO – A Bloomingburg man was sentenced in Sullivan County Court on Thursday to five years in state prison and five years of post-release supervision after pleading guilty to committing a residential burglary.
Michael Truex, 20, pled guilty to felony burglary admitting he burglarized a residence on Short Road in the Town of Mamakating in July 2014 and stealing jewelry.  As part of the plea agreement, Truex paid over $8,500 in restitution.
Truex was arrested following an investigation by State Police and the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office.
