Former NYC DEP employee guilty of killing coworker

KINGSTON – An Ulster County Court jury on Tuesday convicted a former New York City Department of Environmental Protection employee of shooting a coworker to death at the 71 Smith Avenue, Kingston offices.
David Reese, 54, of Gilboa, faces up to 25 years to life in prison when sentenced in August for killing Aron Thomas of Olivebridge on February 3, 2014.
The murder occurred at around 6:45 a.m. when Reese walked into the office and shot Thomas to death.
The jury took less than three hours to convict Reese.
