GOSHEN – The Orange County 911 center
lost power for about 20 minutes Friday morning when an independent contractor
was performing preventative maintenance at the Goshen facility.

The center lost the ability to answer 911 calls, but a back-up center
was activated along with an emergency communications vehicle.
County Executive Steven Neuhaus and county emergency services officials were on the scene during the outage.
