VAILS GATE – The Orange County Republican Committee endorsed two candidates for family court judge. Meeting in Vails Gate on Wednesday night, they endorsed incumbent Lori Currier Woods of Monroe for a second term and former Port Jervis City Judge Victoria Campbell for the seat on the bench being vacated by Judge Deborah Kiedaisch.
Family Court judges serve 10-year terms.
Committee members from the Town of Deerpark, City of Port Jervis and one district in Mount Hope endorsed County Legislator Thomas Faggione of Deerpark to run for the remaining two years in the term of former Legislator Dennis Simmons, who resigned to become county commissioner of jurors earlier this year.
