ALBANY – Governor Andrew Cuomo has appointed Westchester County Legislator Peter Harckham as assistant director of the Office of Community Renewal at the Office of Homes and Community Renewal.
Back in February, Harckham said he would not seek a fifth term on the Westchester County Board of Legislators. He will resign from that post after the June 1 meeting. His seat will be filled for the remainder of his term by an appointment of the full legislature. By county charter, that person cannot run for election.
The second legislative district encompasses Bedford, Lewisboro, Pound Ridge, Mount Kisco, North Salem and part of Somers.
