KINGSTON – A Woodstock man faces prison time when sentenced at the end of the month after pleading guilty to the gunpoint robbery of the Hess gas station on Ulster Avenue in the Town of Ulster on October 22, 2014.
Cassidy Buckley, 27, of Glen Lane in Woodstock, was arrested several days after the robbery during which he pointed a gun at a cashier and fled with cigarettes and cash.
During the investigation, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office distributed
a surveillance photo of the suspect and a member of the public contacted
police to identify Buckley. Police said he made incriminating statements
that also revealed the gun used was stolen during a burglary at a residence
near Buckley’s home on the same road.
The gun and jewelry were taken during that burglary in Woodstock on October 5 of last year.
