POUGHKEEPSIE – A Dutchess County Sheriff’s
deputy, who crashed while riding a motorcycle in the Town of North East,
died Tuesday at Albany Medical Center.

Kristopher Cuddeback was 23 years old.

The sheriff’s office said Cuddeback was operating a motorcycle on
Winchell Mountain Road near Pulver Road in North East on the afternoon
of April 28 when he lost control. The motorcycle overturned and he was
ejected. Unsafe speed is believed to have been the primary factor in the
crash.

He was airlifted to Albany Medical Center where he remained until his
death.

Cuddeback was a deputy since February of this year.

County Executive Marcus Molinaro called Cuddeback “a dedicated public
service who dreamed of following in his father’s footsteps to serve
the residents of Dutchess County as a deputy sheriff.”
