LIBERTY – The treasurer of the Firefighters’ Burn Treatment Fund was arrested by State Police at Liberty and charged with stealing money from the fund’s account.
William Clark, 52, of Swan Lake, is accused of stealing over $1,000 from the fund over the the past year. He was charged with grand larceny and issued an appearance ticket to appear in court.
The Firefighters’ Burn Treatment Fund was established in 1976 to assist local volunteer firefighters injured in the line of duty. The fund serves firefighters in Orange, Sullivan, Dutchess and Ulster counties.
