Regional fugitive task force makes more arrests

GOSHEN – The New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force has made three more arrests of men wanted in the region.
On April 23, Paul Samwell was arrested on a warrant for menacing a witness. He was located in an apartment in the City of Newburgh and taken into custody after attempting to flee out of a window. He was turned over to Newburgh Police.
Also on the 23rd, William Coddington, who was wanted by both the State Division of Parole and Orange County Sheriff’s Office on burglary charges, was located in the Town of Montgomery. With assistance from the Montgomery Town Police and Walden Village Police, he was taken into custody and remanded to the Orange County Jail.
On April 27, task force members apprehended Malcom Hagans in the Village of Monticello. He was wanted for his escape from custody in New Jersey. Hagans was serving a sentence for a weapon possession when he escaped. He was turned over to the Sullivan County Jail to await extradition to New Jersey.
