TOWN OF RED HOOK – A male Bard College student has been arrested
and charged with raping a fellow Bard student during the early morning
hours of February 8.
Sam Ketchum, 22, was charged with felony rape and was released on $2,500
cash bail.
The incident is alleged to have occurred at the victim’s residence
and reported to the college shortly after it occurred, but was not reported
to police until April 16 when the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office
was notified by the victim’s attorney.
Ketchum was arrested on April 24 after a week-long investigation.
He is accused of having sex with the victim without her consent.
