GOSHEN – The Orange County Jail is developing plans to provide inmates with video visits to supplement in-person visits.
Sheriff Carl DuBois said it will have its own benefits.
“It’s still not going to replace the personal visits but it’s something for somebody from far away who may want to talk to their relative or friend who may be incarcerated and they will be able to do that,” DuBois said.
At present, the Orange County Jail makes inmate video conferencing available with attorneys and probation officers.
