Sullivan County school districts approve budgets, select board members

SULLIVAN COUNTY – Preliminary results are in for the school board and budget votes in Sullivan County have been tallied and the results are below.

Voters in the Liberty Central School District approved their $68 million budget by a 987 to 69 vote margin.
Board of Education members reelected to three-year terms were Maureen Crescitelli with 605 votes, Peter Racette with 591 votes and Pamela Teed Fisk with 595 votes.

The Livingston Manor Central School District budget of $20 million was approved 201 to 74. The two candidates elected to three-year terms were Chris Tuleweit with 1732 votes and Edward Gorr with 149 votes.

The Monticello Central School District budget was approved by a two-to-one margin, with 598 votes in favor and 243 opposed.  Capital improvements proposition 2 was approved 615 to 230.  School board winners were Meghan Stalter with 553 votes, Tim Crumley with 539 votes, and Todd Grodin with 507 votes.
