LIBERTY – A Monticello woman was arrested by Liberty Village Police after an investigation into a stolen charity collection jar from a local gas station.
Police began the investigation on March 25 after a gas station employee reported he noticed a charity collection jar for a children’s cancer support fund was missing from the counter.
Investigation revealed that Venus Smith, 23, allegedly stole the jar and its contents from the gas station.
