Dutchess Stadium

POUGHKEEPSIE – A proposal to move Dutchess Stadium in Fishkill to zero waste was tabled by the Environment Committee of the county legislature on Thursday, but not because lawmakers are against it.
In fact, they support it, but as Legislator Angela Flesland put it, the concept should be taken one step further.
“I would like this not to just at Dutchess Stadium. I would like us eventually to have all parks in Dutchess County be zero waste, or at least move in that direction,” she said. Flesland plans on rewriting the proposal “with better language” and bring it back for discussion next month.
Dutchess Stadium is owned by the county and leased by the Hudson Valley
Renegades baseball team. The stadium is considered a park under the county
Public Works Department’s Parks Division.
The original proposal to bring Dutchess Stadium to zero waste was advanced
by Legislator Joel Tyner.
