POUGHKEEPSIE – The US Coast Guard
and State Police Aviation Unit from Stewart Airport Friday searched the
area of the Hudson River at Poughkeepsie for a man reported missing and
who may have gone into the river late Thursday afternoon.
Poughkeepsie Police received a 911 call around 5:40 p.m. on Thursday from
a man who reported that he and a friend had been smoking PCP while sitting
near the river and that the friend went into the river.
A search for the missing 29-year-old Wappingers Falls man was undertaken
Thursday evening and as of Friday afternoon, he was not located.
