MID-HUDSON – A jackknifed tractor-trailer blocked all northbound lanes on the state Thruway in Ramapo Wednesday morning while another tractor-trailer truck flipped on its side in the Town of Goshen in the afternoon.
The Thruway incident occurred when the driver of the truck, Christopher Luckett, 47, of Louisville, Kentucky was northbound when he lost control of the truck and struck the guide rail and earth embankment on the east shoulder. The truck came to rest across all northbound lanes.
Luckett was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern where he was treated for minor injuries.  He was ticketed for moving from lane unsafely, driving across hazardous markings and not wearing a seatbelt.
Details of the other incident were scarce. The truck was on the ramp at exit 125 in Goshen when the trailer flipped over and came to rest on a guard rail.
