TOWN OF HYDE PARK – Police are now calling the death of a Poughkeepsie woman a homicide.
The body of Jerusha Christie, 27, was found by employees of the State Office of Mental Health at the Hudson River Psychiatric Center in the Town of Hyde Park around 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
The workers found her body on Cheney Drive on the campus and called 911.
The State Police and Hyde Park Police are investigating. Anyone with information regarding the death is asked to call the State Police at 845-677-7300 or Hyde Park Police at 845-229-9340. Tips can also be emailed to the State Police at TRPKINV@troopers.ny.gov .
