VALATIE – A Catskill man is in the Columbia County Jail without bail for allegedly trying to steal a rifle from a sporting goods store by concealing it in his pants.
Enricka Logan, 29, is a two-time convicted felon and is not permitted to possess a firearm.  He was arrested on March 6 after he was observed by the store owner leaving Shooter’s Sports in the Village of Valatie with the concealed Ruger M77 rifle shoved down his pant leg.
The owner called 911 as a patron stopped Logan in the parking lot.
Logan was charged with felony grand larceny and misdemeanor criminal possession of a weapon.
