Reward offered for information on who killed Shequila Brown

POUGHKEEPSIE – It has been two years
since 18-year-old Shequila Brown was struck and killed by a vehicle as
she walked across eastbound Route 44/55 at the intersection of South Hamilton
Street in Poughkeepsie on March 13, 2013. A reward is now being offered
for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

The vehicle fled the scene and has never been identified. It has been
described as a large dually pickup in park color, possibly black or dark
red, with a loud exhaust.

It was last seen driving east on 44/55, speeding through the red light
at South Clinton Street.

A reward of $25,000 is being offered for information on the case.

On the second anniversary of her death, the family of Shequila Brown and
City of Poughkeepsie Police are asking anyone with information about the
incident to call the police at 845-451-7577.
