TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE – A 37-year-old
Poughkeepsie man has been remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without
bail following his arrest on a felony charge of drug possession with intent
to sell.
Poughkeepsie Town Police arrested Anthony Burris at a local motel where
he was found in possession of 230 glassine envelopes containing a total
of 12 grams of heroin that had been packaged for sale.
Town Police were assisted by the Dutchess County Drug Task Force and the
Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office.
Burris was arrested Saturday afternoon following a brief investigation
concerning a suspect in possession of heroin.
