AMENIA – The mother of a Webutuck Middle School student has been
arrested and charged with criminal trespass and disorderly conduct after
she allegedly refused to leave the school and used profane language.

State Police said Teresa Lovett, 53, of Amenia had a meeting on Friday
with school administrators, became irate and cursed. She was instructed
to leave the school property, but failed to comply, prompting school officials
to call 911 for assistance.

Lovett finally left the building before police arrived, but was located
a short time later at her Town of Amenia home and placed in custody for
trespassing on school grounds.

She was arraigned and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of
$2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
