TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE – The man killed
in a Sunday morning car crash in the Town of Poughkeepsie has been identified
as a LaGrange resident, 39-year-old Steven Hart.
The accident occurred just before 7 a.m. at the intersection of East Cedar
Street and Violet Avenue.
Town Police said the vehicle left the road at a high rate of speed, entered
a wooded area, struck a tree and then caught fire.
Hart was the only person in the vehicle.
Police said an autopsy would be conducted later in the week.
