TOWN OF GREENBURGH – The Town of Greenburgh Police Department will be equipped with body cameras.
Police Chief Chris McNerney requested that Town Supervisor Paul Feiner add $30,000 to the town’s capital budget to cover the cost of 18 of those devices.
Feiner said that if a police officer is accused of an inappropriate action, “it’s easy to determine exactly what happened,” if body cameras are being employed.
The cameras have a 130 degree lens, which provides a wide field of view capture, retina low light technology and can mount to almost any part of an officer’s uniform.
