Three arrested after car crashes in Saugerties

SAUGERTIES – Police have arrested three people following a car crash in the Village of Saugerties just before 11 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.
Police said four people were found unresponsive in the vehicle following a motor vehicle accident on Partition Street.
The car, driven by Peter Malloy, 25, of 95 Pine Grove School Road in Saugerties, ran off Partition Street and onto the sidewalk, striking a picnic table and street sign on the property of Stella’s Station. The car continued onto Partition Street where it struck a parked vehicle adjacent to Stella’s Station.
Following investigation by Saugerties and State Police, Malloy was charged with criminal possession of drugs, aggravated DWI with a child in the vehicle as Leandra’s Law since there was a 15-year-girl in the car. Malloy was also charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, aggravated unlicensed operation and misdemeanors of endangering the welfare of a child and operating a motor vehicle without an interlock device.
Also charged were Caitlyn Myers, 29, of 95 Pine Grove School Road in Saugerties and Anthony Latourette, 20, of 65 Livingston Street in Saugerties. Both were charged with felonies and misdemeanors of criminal possession of drugs as well endangering the welfare of a child. Both Myers and Latourette were found with additional drugs on them while being processed.
Malloy, Latourette and Myers were all sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.
Saugerties Police were assisted at the scene by State Police and Diaz Ambulance Service.
