LIVINGSTON – A Columbia County deputy sheriff is in jail, charged with surreptitiously taking nude photos of a woman and posting them on the Internet.
Thomas Bagnall, 27, of Hudson, was arrested and charged with unlawful surveillance, a felony.

In August of 2014, a Germantown woman was notified by an acquaintance that they had observed nude photos of her displayed on the internet.  These photos were taken without the victim’s knowledge.  The victim contacted the State Police and reported the incident.

An extensive investigation revealed that Bagnall allegedly had taken the photos from the outside of her residence without the consent of complainant and the images were subsequently posted on the internet.
He has been placed on unpaid leave in accordance with New York State Civil Service Law.
Bagnall is in the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $5000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
