Tina M. Turner

June 10, 1973 – April 16, 2024

It is with a heavy heart that we said goodbye to Tina Turner on Tuesday April 16th, 2024. She passed while in the grasp of her mother’s hand. The hand that brought her into this world is the hand that comforted her and helped her depart into the next world where she will be reunited once again with her deceased daughter, Alyssa.

Tina was a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and all-around friend to everyone and anyone she met. To some she was a monumental figure and lifelong resident of Kingston. She filled a void for many, and she found a place for the lonely in her heart. She was full of life and protected those she loved.

In Tina’s younger days she was an amazing athlete and the first girl to be on Babe Ruth baseball. Her favorite radio station as a young teen was B94. Making memories on Wall Street was legendary and jam packed with stories for the ages. However, nothing in this world meant more to her than becoming a mother and grandmother to her amazing and beautiful children and grandchildren. Finally, one of her best times ever before leaving this earth was seeing Alicia Keys in concert. Tina was the life of any party and according to her brother the most fun sister any boy can have growing up. Dear friend, you will be unforgettably missed…

Surviving in addition to her parents, Allen Nace (Kristen Bird) and Theresa Nace (Richard Adolphsen) is her daughter Allison Turner (Nate Rider), a son John Klippel, Jr., her grandsons that she is raising Ethan Michael Turner and Joseph E. Turner. Two additional grandchildren Logan Rider and Cayden Rider. Brothers, Allen and Sarah Nace, Mark and Nicole Nace, a nephew Ryan Nace and niece Alyssa Murtagh, Tina’s former partner Michael Banks, and stepdaughter Maeloni Naccarato-Banks. Predeceased by her uncle “YoYo” Thomas Wood.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to The fund for the Boy’s c/o  Allen  Nace  Ameriprise Financial 307 Wall Street suite 7-B Kingston NY 12401.
