Debbie Martinez-Perez
June 20, 1963 – April 21, 2024
Debbie Martinez-Perez of Ellenville, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at the Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City after a short illness. She was 60.
The daughter of Ramon A. Martinez and Maria C. Muniz Martinez, she was born June 20, 1963, in Monticello.
Debbie was a graduate of Monticello High School and went on to pursue a career in Health and Humanitarian services in a caregiver role at the Center for Discovery and New Hope as she had a passion for individuals with special needs.
She is survived by her parents: Ramon A. Martinez and Maria C. Muniz Martinez; her sons: Thierry A. Owens and Rene A. Perez; her 4 grandchildren, Thierry Jr., Jandell, Kami, and Gabe; her brother Ramon A. Martinez Jr.; and sister Melissa Carroll. She was predeceased by her maternal and paternal grandparents, and aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 24 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 25 at 10:00am at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Broadway and Liberty Street in Monticello with Fr. Bob Porpora officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Monticello.
