Alice de Knegt
December 30, 1922 — April 15, 2024
Alice de Knegt (nee Laurens) lived her life from December 30, 1922, until April 15, 2024. Alice (Laurens) was one of 9 children. She met her husband Hermanus de Knegt in Indonesia, had 2 children Henriette de Knegt and John de Knegt in the Netherlands, and her 3rd child Shirley Ann de Knegt-Kuzik in the United States.
She has sons-in-law Scott Mehlberg and Paul Kuzik and daughters-in-law Lois Luca and Rose de Knegt. Her grandchildren Jason, Christopher, Margaret, Anya, Corrigan, Kerry, and Jennifer gave her immeasurable pleasure and love- as did all who came into her orbit. Friendships were lasting and ‘Family’ literally encompassed folks from around the world.
Alice was ‘inclusive’ and always wanted to be ‘of use’. Her heart was generous and her ability to laugh widely known as she shared her gifts which included knitting, making music, and cooking. Her loving traveling heart will continue to make ‘family’ of us all.
Arrangements are entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 11am to 12pm. A memorial service will be held at 12pm and can be seen on the Keyser Facebook page at that time.
