BEDFORD – A Somers man has been arrested by State Police from the Somers barracks on several counts of drug possession.
Benjamin Deurso, 26, was charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony possession of marijuana, misdemeanor drug possession and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
At about 11:45 p.m. on January 31, troopers conducted a vehicle and traffic violation stop on a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox SUV on I-684 in the Town of Bedford.
Investigation determined Deurso, the driver, possessed approximately 2.4 grams of lysergic acid diethylamide, commonly known as ‘acid,’ 4.1 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms, just under 16 pounds of marijuana, boxes of THC edibles and oil, and $4,000 in cash.
Deurso was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Bedford Town Court.
