TOWN OF CRAWFORD – Someone successfully hacked the posting for Crispell Middle School in the Pine Bush Central School District and using Google Maps, installed a photo of a gun.
Since Google Maps entries lead the listings for a location that is searched using the Google search engine the image of the gun is displayed.
Crawford Town Police and Pine Bush school officials are investigating and have requested that Google remove the photo, which was determined to have been taken from an online site Reddit and is not locally sourced.
As the investigation continues, Crawford Police will provide additional coverage for Crispell Middle School today.
