CROTON – Police have arrested a 17-year-old youth on a charge related to a threat of violence to Croton-Harmon High School.

Croton Village Police made an arrest after a tip was received Wednesday by the Croton-Harmon School District through their “anonymous alerts” reporting portal.

The teen, whose name or sex police did not reveal, was charged with the felony of making a terroristic threat.

The school district received the threat on Wednesday afternoon and reported it to Croton Police. A joint investigation was launched between the police and Westchester County District Attorney’s Office Investigations Division.

“The safety and security of all students and school staff in Westchester County are paramount to all of us,” said DA Anthony Carpino, Jr. “We will continue to be vigilant as we are every day where the safety of our children is concerned.”

The investigation into this incident is continuing.
