POUGHKEEPSIE- Premier Cares Foundation announced the details of its inaugural Golf Classic today.  The outing, which is expected to raise over $50,000 for the nonprofit, is scheduled for Monday, July 8, 2024, at the prestigious Powelton Club in Newburgh, NY.

Premier Cares Foundation, non-profit organization located in the Hudson Valley, provides financial support, education, and awareness to individuals in our community who lack sufficient funds to address significant urologic and digestive issues including but not limited to prostate and colon cancer.  Through the Foundation’s Care Fund, grants for items such as medication/medical equipment not covered by insurance, housing, transportation, utilities or other expenses are provided to patients at their time of need.  In addition to grants to patients in need, Premier Cares Foundation also hosts the region’s only Prostate Cancer Support Group.  This forum provides men at all stages of prostate cancer to participate in a casual conversation about their prostate cancer journey and learn about emerging treatment options from a Board Certified urologist.

Said Gia McCormack, Executive Director of Premier Cares Foundation, “The Premier Cares Golf Classic not only raises substantial funds for our organization, but the event also gives golfers, sponsors, and volunteers a chance to enjoy a fun day on the course surrounded by people who share a commitment to our mission. We are grateful to all those involved for supporting this event, and look forward to a great day on the green!”

The 2024 Premier Cares Classic will include a shotgun start at 10 am, an 18-hole scramble format on a private golf course, full hot breakfast, cocktails and awards banquet with delicious food stations, and exciting auction items.  Unlimited beverage cart and stations are also included plus lots of fun surprises on the course and at the turn.  All golfers will receive a deluxe golfer gift. Individual tickets are $250 per player, with registration for foursomes and sponsorships also available.
