Drug trafficker sentenced in “Operation Hide in Plain Sight” narcotics conspiracy

GOSHEN – A 42-year-old Middletown man, Angel Rodriguez, was sentenced in Orange County Court on Monday to 6 ½ years in state prison and three years of post-release supervision in connection with drug and conspiracy charges.

The two-year-long investigation involved cocaine trafficking in and around the City of Middletown allegedly committed by Angelica Rodriguez, also known as “Jelly,” 39, of Otisville.

Both Rodriguez individuals are believed to have one parent in common.

During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that Angel Rodriguez was being supplied with cocaine by Angelica Rodriguez.

A search warrant executed at one co-conspirator’s Yonkers residence resulted in the seizure of over 1 ½ kilograms of cocaine, over $165,500 in cash, scales, a money counter, an unlicensed gun, vacuum sealer, digital scales and jewelry estimated to have a value of some $50,000.
