Barricaded man gives up after overnight standoff

TOWN OF NEWBURGH – A man who barricaded himself in a house at 7 Meadow Street in the Town of Newburgh overnight finally gave up some five hours later this morning.

The Orange County Sheriff’s SWAT team was called to the scene to assist town police.

The circumstances surrounding the incident were not immediately known.
