STEWART AIRPORT – Breeze Airways announced on Tuesday that it will add a third route from New York Stewart International Airport.

The seasonal service to Fort Myers, Florida, will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays starting on October 2.

Breeze already operates non-daily service from Stewart to Orlando and Charleston, South  Carolina.

A one-way ticket to Fort Meyers offer a promotional fare of $89 one-way.

Port Authority Aviation Director Charles Everett Jr. called the new service “a big win for our customers, who now have yet another option for travel to Florida” and he said he is confident that “this is the start of bigger and better things to come.”

Founded by David Neeleman, Breeze began service in May 2021. Neeleman also founded Jet Blue, which flew to Florida from Stewart until COVID-19 struck and recently announced a number of service cutbacks including no plans to return to Stewart.
