POUGHKEEPSIE – Troop K State Police worked with New York City Police in arresting a Bronx man operating as a major drug dealer.

When police executed a search warrant, they seized approximately 12 kilograms of cocaine and $3 million in cash hidden in his residence.

As a result, Juan Rondon, 60, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Members of the Troop K Violent Gangs and Narcotics Enforcement Team developed information that led to the Bronx and the search warrant by the New York City Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor.

“A cumulative effort among law enforcement partners has once again results in a massive seizure of deadly drugs,” said State Police Acting Superintendent Steven James. “Not only did this interception save lives, but it also put an end to the violence that is often associated with drug trafficking.”

He said the State Police will continue to work vigilantly alongside our partners to put dangerous individuals like Mr. Rondon behind bars.”
