NEWBURGH- The previously issued precautionary boil water notice has been lifted by the Orange County Department of Health for consumers of the City of Newburgh drinking water.  All water main repairs have been completed and the required testing of the City of Newburgh’s water system has shown an absence of Coliform, meaning that the water is safe to consume without boiling.

The Orange County Health Department has reviewed the sample data and has determined that the previously issued precautionary boil water notice can be lifted effective immediately.  There is no need to boil your water before using.

Questions relative to the utilization of water from this supply can be directed to the City of Newburgh Water Department at 845-565-3356 or the Orange County Health Department at 845-291-2331.
