NEWBURGH – A body was discovered in Crystal Lake in Newburgh on Friday afternoon and police are investigating the discovery. A person fishing at the lake called 911 to report seeing a body on the shoreline of the lake at approximately 4 p.m. on March 22.
City police and fire personnel, along with Empress EMS responded to the scene and were joined by investigators from the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. Shortly after the discovery, officials notified the Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office and asked them to respond to the scene.
