TOWN OF WALLKILL – Police investigated a report of a bomb threat at Garnet Health Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill on Wednesday, March 20.

An investigation by police determined there were no explosive devices or responsible persons.

There were no reported injuries and no interruption in hospital services.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office had contacted Wallkill Police regarding a reported bomb threat at the hospital at 707 East Main Street that was received from a third-party caller. That person had received a voicemail indicating a bomb threat at the hospital stemming from a phone call placed from the Mid-Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center in Goshen.

After conferring with hospital security management, Wallkill Police, Garnet security, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and K-9 units from Town of Chester and Village of Goshen Police conducted an exterior search of the buildings and grounds that failed to disclose any explosives or responsible persons.

The investigation is being conducted by Town of Wallkill detectives.
