KINGSTON – A Clintondale man faces 1 1/3 to four years in state prison when sentenced in Ulster County Court in May after pleading guilty to promoting a sexual performance of a child under the age of 17.

Joseph O’Bryan, 30, pled guilty on Wednesday stemming from his arrest on October 15, 2020 after State Police executed a search warrant at his home and found a substantial amount of images and videos of child sexual abuse material. He had shared some of the materials with others.

O’Bryan was initially indicted for several counts of promoting and possessing child sexual abuse material.

The district attorney’s office encourages vigilance to protect children from abuse, and trafficking, all of which are connected to the creation of the types of materials involved in this crime, said DA Emmanuel Nneji.

If you suspect child abuse, exploitation or human trafficking, you are encouraged to report to your local police agency or the state child abuse hotline at 888-373-7888 or 800-342-3720, and save a child in danger. You can also do it anonymously.
