Woman arrested after stabbing three men

POUGHKEEPSIE – A woman has been arrested and charged with three counts of felony assault after allegedly stabbing three men in an apartment on Smith Street around 12:35 a.m. Saturday.  One of the victims underwent surgery to repair the serious stab wound to his leg.

According to City of Poughkeepsie police, officers responded to a report of a disturbance at 25 Smith Street at 12:35 a.m. on Saturday.  Responding officers entered and found one male with a serious stab wound to the leg.  A second male was in the apartment with a stab wound to the thigh.

The suspected assailant, Ines Puenteestar, 43, was in the apartment and taken into custody without incident.

A third stabbing victim was located at MidHudson Regional Hospital suffering from a slash wound to the left shoulder blade.  The victim with the back wound and the victim with the thigh injury were both treated and released from the hospital.

The victim with the wound to his lower leg was admitted after surgery and is listed in stable condition.
