NEWBURGH- Officials from the City of Newburgh have confirmed that the motorcyclist involved in an accident on Friday has died. The accident took place shortly after 4:30 p.m. at the intersections of South and Lander Street in Newburgh.
The victim was treated at the scene by first responders and was taken to Montefiore-St. Luke’s Hospital for treatment but but tragically died.
The City of Newburgh Police, along with the Town of New Windsor Police accident reconstruction team, processed the scene. State Police and the Town of Newburgh Police responded to the hospital to manage a crowd which formed.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing and the City of Newburgh Detective Division is asking anyone with information to contact them at 845-569-7509.
