TOWN OF NEWBURGH – A one-car crash on Interstate 84 near the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge late in the morning on Tuesday claimed the life of one person, State Police said.
The accident occurred around 10:50 a.m. when the Nissan Rogue struck a guard rail and flipped into the center median near exit 39 in the Town of Newburgh. Troopers said the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger was transported to Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in serious condition.
The investigation is continuing.
