Port Jervis man charged with attempted sexual assault of child

PORT JERVIS – A 44-year-old Port Jervis man has been charged with attempted predatory sexual assault of a child as a felony after authorities investigated a report of a man engaging in sexual contact with a child under the age of 13.

James Pospisil was arrested following an investigation by the State Police Child Abuse Unit and Orange County Child protective Services.

He was remanded to the county jail without bail.
