COXSACKIE – A 70-year-old woman who was crossing a parking lot in the area of Peppertree apartments in the Village of Coxsackie on Tuesday night was struck and killed by a snowplow truck, the Greene County Sheriff’s Office reported on Thursday.
The woman, whose name police did not release, was struck when a 2020 Chevrolet 3500 pickup truck that was plowing a parking lot backed up and struck her.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, deputies said.
The snowplow driver was a 66-year-old man from, New Baltimore.
The investigation is continuing.
The sheriff’s office was assisted by the State Police, Greene County Paramedics and Coxsackie Ambulance.
