MOUNTAIN DALE- It’s déjà vu all over again for artist Mike Osterhout who says that for a second time artwork he had on display in a private park near the Mountain Dale has been stolen.
“Once again I’m faced with vandalism and theft,” said Osterhout. “I don’t have much of a recourse when these pieces get stolen, and I don’t know who is doing it.”
Each time there has been vandalism and theft, Osterhout called the police. He says the police are friendly, but seem to have very little interest in pursuing the theft.
When asked if Osterhout planned to continue to display artwork despite his recent troubles, he said, “I’m not angry, I’m not outraged at any of this.” He pledged to continue to display his artwork.
