FALLSBURG- The Town of Fallsburg is pleased to announce its annual fall clean-up event, scheduled to take place from October 13 to October 15, 2023. During this time, Fallsburg residents are encouraged to participate by bringing their approved trash items to Morningside Park, located at 11 Morningside Road in Hurleyville, NY. The clean-up event will run daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
In addition to the fall clean-up, the Town of Fallsburg is also hosting an electronic waste disposal program, which will run from October 13 to October 31, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily. Residents are invited to bring their approved electronics to Morningside Park for proper disposal.
Town Supervisor Kathy Rappaport expressed her passion for these events, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in maintaining a clean and sustainable environment.
“The Town of Fallsburg is committed to promoting the well-being of our community and protecting
our natural surroundings. Our annual fall clean-up event is a wonderful opportunity for residents to come together, beautify our town, and dispose of unwanted items responsibly,” said Rappaport. “We encourage everyone to participate and take pride in the place we call home.”
Regarding the E-Waste disposal initiative, Supervisor Rappaport added, “E-Waste contains hazardous materials that can harm the environment if not disposed of correctly. Our E-Waste disposal program provides an easy and eco-friendly way for residents to get rid of old electronics while ensuring they are handled safely and sustainably.”
