POUGHKEEPSIE – Nuvance Health, the parent company of seven hospitals, including three in the Hudson Valley, has issued a new mask advisory.

Nuvance operates Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, Putnam Hospital in Carmel, and Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck.

A short email distributed on October 1 by Nuvance said, “Due to the recent increase in the number of Covid cases, Nuvance Health is advising all patients and visitors wear masks in our facilities.  This is to keep you and our staff safe.  A mask will be available to you in the practice, if needed.  Thank you.”

The Nuvance Health website does not indicate if masks are required at their hospitals and care facilities.
