CORNWALL- On Saturday, September 9, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.,  join the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum for Butterfly Day at the Outdoor Discovery Center, located at 120 Muser Drive (off Angola Rd) in Cornwall.  Discover the beauty and incredibly unique qualities of butterflies, moths and caterpillars with Nature Educators.

Flutter around and enjoy themed games, sweep netting, play in Grasshopper Grove, and a craft.  Children and adults alike will get a thrill getting “up close and personal” with butterflies in the Butterfly Tent!  With the purchase of each ticket, you will also be registering for a ½ hour slot during which you will have several minutes to enter and enjoy the Butterfly Tent.  Please note that you may only enter the Butterfly Tent during a portion of your selected time slot offered at 10:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Be a Citizen Scientist as you observe Nature Educators tag and release Monarch Butterflies at 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. as part of “Monarch Watch.  Recommended for ages three and up.  Admission:  Pre-registration is required.  HHNM Members: $10 per person ages three and up.  Not- yet-Members: $12 per person ages three and up.  Children under three are free.  Entrance to Grasshopper Grove is included in the admission price.
